A Sri Lankan twist on Neo-Futurism with Ruwanthie, Second Year Fashion Design and Textile Student

My design circulates around the colours of neo futurism and its silhouettes. Usage of many panels is a direct influence of neo futuristic architecture. My motive was to create a piece which communicates between the heritage crafts and the modernity. Colourful panels are hand-woven by me incorporating turmeric dyed bobbin lace. Honest Logos is a funny and thought-provoking personal project by the Swedish graphic designer, Viktor Hertz. Starting graphic design as a hobby and being influenced by pop-culture, satire, and humour, Hertz focuses on visual metaphors and strong ideas.   His project, Honest Logos, was created in 2011, and shows commonly recognised logos depicting their most famous use in a humorous, but quite honest manner. According to Elon Musk’s tweet on Saturday he stated ‘Ability to stream YouTube & Netflix when car is stopped coming to your Tesla soon! Has an amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats & surround sound audio.’ Currently, Tesla is equipped with games such as Cuphead and Super Breakout where the steering wheel works as the remote to play games.
