INKTOBER is just a month away!

Here’s a tiny reminder on why all of you should get involved. For those who don’t know what Inktober is, it’s a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker which starts in...October. How the competition works is that there will be a word each day posted on the INKTOBER site or their instagram page, and you will have to make an ink drawing. Then upload it with the hashtags  #inktober and #inktober20189 so your artwork can be seen far and wide across the universe.

The whole focus of this competition is to improve your skills and develop a more positive drawing habit. Since its inception in 2009, designers from all over the world as well as those who would just simply like to give this a go have been taking part. If you haven’t done it before, you should definitely be ready for this October!

For a list of different pens, brushes, and paper that you could use, or if you have any other questions, check out the Inktober official website. The website also has useful tutorials for those who are new to inking. If you’d like to have an idea of what kind of drawings have been done in the past, follow their Instagram account.
