PHOTOGRAPHY HIGHER CERTIFICATE (BTEC NC – UK)
The AOD BTEC programme gives an introductory level of standardized, quality education to bring together skill, technique, and professional context to raise the level of the amateur field within Sri Lanka. It is the first of its kind and offers a unique chance to study and become validated in this exciting and popular field. Since there is no “formal” training offered in Sri Lanka for photography, AOD is proud to be able to offer an outlet for this discipline that offers both knowledge and an international qualification.
In addition to the work done on the road and at local events, we know the benefit of maintaining an understanding of the professional practice of Photography. Starting with the system of lecturing – which invites local and international photographers to teach each month with a specialized topic – we also engage with other industries relevant to the field. This means developing Industry connections and awareness through visits to advertising agencies, working with Publishers (Magazines and Books), and working with local Newspapers.
