Offering UK qualifications from a Local Campus

In July, 2009, AOD launched its partnership with Northumbria School of Design (UK).  Thanks to this partnership, students can complete an internationally acclaimed British Design Degree right here in Sri Lanka.  The degree offered at The Academy, BA (Hons) means students can follow the exact same curriculum as someone studying in UK, receive the very same credentials and certifications and therefore, getting the same global knowledge and job opportunities as a design graduate in the UK. The Academy of Design is the only local campus offering UK Design Degrees in Sri Lanka.

The design degrees awarded at AOD through Northumbria University School of Design can now be completed in Sri Lanka as a 3 year programme (two years Edexcel HND programme at AOD followed by one year Northumbria completion award at AOD).

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degrees are offered in the streams of fashion, interior design and graphic design. Moreover, AOD’s active job placement programme anticipates the needs of the industry and ensures a continuous supply of skilled designers to the relevant design sectors.
