Academy of Design is an institution that accepts students from across the globe. Therefore, the AOD is receptive to different educational qualifications that vary from country to country.  However these educational qualifications and credentials need to be supported by verified certifications, and will be reviewed and confirmed with the respective issuing bodies by the AOD Admissions Department.

Education Credentials

• To enter at the Design Foundation programme, secondary school education to a level similar to that of Ordinary Level is required.
• To enter at the BTEC HND or National Certificate programme levels, secondary school education to a level similar to that of Ordinary Level is required.
• To enter at the BA (Hons) Degree level, secondary school education to a level similar to that of Advanced Level is required.

Other Credentials

• In addition to Educational qualifications, the AOD places great value in creative and artistic talents and believe in honing these natural gifts to suit the requirements of the dynamic creative industries all over the world.
  Proficiency in both written and spoken English is important as the Programme is entirely conducted in the English language.
• Students who have Advanced Level education but, have no background in Art and Design are encouraged to follow the Design Foundation before progressing to higher levels.

Please note that the above is a General Guide of required credentials, and that the Admission body at the AOD is amenable to diverse educational backgrounds and qualifications, and are open to reviewing your credentials individually to determine your suitability for an Academy of Design candidacy.

The Academy of Design reserves the right to verify all documents submitted in application for admission. Any falsification of admission documents or portfolio materials constitutes grounds for termination of application procedures or dismissal from the Academy of Design.
