B.A. (Hons) in Fashion Design
Fashion designers combine conceptual and technical skills to create original collections of garments and accessories consistent with established fashion trends.
Through the fashion program students develop creative and intellectual thinking and inventive design skills in courses that offer practical expertise necessary to succeed in careers in the global fashion market.
Careers in Fashion
Fashion graduates pursue careers in fashion and costume design, including designing clothing and accessories. Other career opportunities include retail, advertising, promotion, illustration, journalism, photography and forecasting. Some high-fashion designers are self-employed and design for individual clients. They make fashion news by establishing the line, colors and kinds of materials that will be worn each season. They design original garments as well as follow established fashion trends.
